La Vallée de l’Energie is part of the construction/building of the European Energy sector

On May 19, 2014, Edouard Martin was in Belfort as part of the European elections. He met La Vallée de l’Energie representatives.

Vers la construction d’une filière européenne de l’énergie

During his visit in Belfort, the candidate to the European elections, Edouard Martin, wanted to meet La Vallée de l’Energie and its representatives to submit him the project called “DYNAMENE”, which currently benefits from European ERDF funds. They contribute effectively to the economic development of the Territory for the development of new technological tools such as "DYNAMENE".

Edouard Martin accompanied by some of his fellow candidates has been welcomed by David Ferrebeuf, the Secretary-General of “La Vallée de l’Energie”. First, David FERREBEUF presented “La Vallée de l’Energie” strategy, starting point of the creation of energy technologies industry. It relies on the cluster based in Belfort supported by two principals Alstom and GE and more than 200 SMEs / SMIs. Then, a focus was made on the Dynamene project, a technology platform to develop a multi-fluid test bench and a demonstrator of energy efficiency within the Techn'hom of Belfort.

The candidate was particularly interested in the collaboration of 12 SMEs and SMIs of the Grand Est in the context of the Engineering financed through the European ERDF funds up to 300 K €. According to him, “La Vallée de l’Energie” has shown that such a partnership was “possible” and that it was part of a European logic of structuring industries. Some of the questions also focused on training and shortage occupations such as electrical, automation, general installation (materials, CAD / END ...). David Ferrebeuf currently explains that partnerships between training institutions, industry and local authorities allow the preservation and development of certain trades.

Then, the participants took the direction of the Techn'hom to visit two business partners of the project "Dynamene": MILGRED and EURO/CFD, respectively specializing in superalloys and fluid mechanics.

Edouard Martin was able to observe the existence of real know-how, products and services with high-added value; it has not failed to note it several times.
