The leitmotives of these two days were the two questions of sustainable use of the resources and production of energy based on renewable sources with new products, services and technologies. 108 energy actors attended the session and examined together this notion of cleantechs through 15 model projects. Two of them are projects supported by the Vallée de l’Energie : Ecotechn’hom and Hy-Future.
Collaboration is the cornerstone of our projects
These two days of interactions were suitable fot the Vallée to establish contacts with companies proficient in energy efficiency, especially in smart energy management for industrial facilities, analysis and monitoring of the energy consumption. These companies are in the starting blocks to take part to the EcoTechn’hom project by placing their demonstrators on the site of Belfort.
Various potential collaborations have also been identified between the needs of some industrial members of our cluster, the research topics of Swiss partners and innovation abilities of Swiss startups and research labs spin-offs. It opens the door to great opportunities for the members of our cluster to benefit from Swiss high-level research platforms, to generate synergies and share return on experience on the development of smart cities and energy management.
Perspectives on hydrogen energy
The workshop « Hydrogen energy – structuring of a territorial ecosystem » was coordinated by the Vallée and provided the delegates with French-Swiss discussions about energy storage via hydrogen. These fruitful interactions let two potential collaborations emerge.
The first one is a connection between the School of Business and Engineering Vaud (HEIG-Vaud) – which led a project on hydrogen fueled pleasure boats – and the managers of the Mobypost project in the region of Belfort – Mobypost stands for « Mobility with Hydrogen for postal delivery ».
The second is about stationary hydrogen energy. This potential collaboration could mobilize French actors supporting this technology as well as an established Swiss transmission grid operator.
Meetings, discussions about shared visions, fruitful and privileged contacts – the Vallée de l’Energie is expanding its network and plays the trump card of collaboration without reserve.
