This day was the occasion for the Minister to visit the facilities of the two groups Alstom and General Electric and to exchange with local elected officials and the employees, as well as to broach a number of topics. Two of these topics were the acquisition of Alstom Power by the the US conglomerate and the confirmation of the production of the Arabelle steam turbine of Alstom Power in Belfort.

One of the key meetings of this day was the talk between the Minister and Marie-Guite Dufay, President of the Franche-Comté region. The agenda of this meeting included the new collaborative technological platform Dynamène, which will soon be built up in Belfort to strenghten a regional industrial ecosystem in favor of the power generation industry.

Dynamène is a spin-off of Vallée de l’énergie, founded in March 2015. The startup received the support of the French State, as part of the « Programme d’Investissement d’Avenir », the national Investment Program for the Future. This public investment will consolidate the industry in the region.

Another important news for Dynamène is the announcement that EDF will also be one of the shareholders of the company through a €350,000 investment. This investment confirms the interest of the energy actors for this multifluid test bench, especially designed for innovative companies of the sector.
